Urban Music Group would like to introduce you to and exciting new artist by the name of RACHEL BROWN. Rachel is a soulful song stylist whose vocal prowess matches any professional in the business. She has the soulful, sultry address of one Anita Baker, and sings with the conviction of Gladys Knight. Her CD “Love, Life, & Relationships” is one of this summer’s best finds. She is a homegrown product from here in south Florida. Listen to her work at her web site (http://www.RachelBrownLive.Com)

Rachel is an emerging R&B artist whose current CD is making an impact in the music arena. She is a recognized talent in the area, and has just recently shared the national stage with Mary J. Blige, Teena Marie, Melanie Fiona and John Legend, at the "Jazz in The Gardens" in Miami Gardens Florida. A national stage and event hosted by Tom Joyner.

Signed to Urban Music Group in 2007, RACHEL’s early notoriety came about due to the success of her debut single “Let’s Fall In Love Again,” which reached #1 on the Billboard R&B Single Sales Chart in the spring of 2007. The single soon gained the attention of television shows such as WSVN’s (FOX) Deco Drive, as well as landing feature stories in the Miami Herald and Ft. Lauderdale Sun Sentinel. The single has generated airplay on a multitude of radio stations across the U.S., which landed it on the Mediabase Top 100 R&B songs chart. Now with the release of the singles "Spend The Night" and "Don't Ask My Neighbor" she is becoming a recognizable force. While Rachel does not make a point to do many re-makes, her rendition of the Emotions song "Don't Ask My Neighbor", is top-flight. She keeps the integrity of the song while making it all her own. I guarantee the longer you listen, the more you will like her. She is currently at #1 on ReverbNation R&B for south Florida area (http://www.reverbnation.com/RachelBrown) and a featured artist.

She has the ability to sustain her signature sound for time to come and she will make those that hear her stand up and take notice! She is what R&B has been missing for a long time. The movement is back to good singing and she definitely fits the bill. She is a relevant artist as well.

This entire CD is filled with great music from the driving "Spend The Night", to the Neo smash "Do What You Do", to the sensual "Learn To Love Me", to the dramatic anthem "Rise Again", It is all very good listening. I ask you to listen with fidelity, Please visit her web site at http://www.RachelBrownLive.Com, (click the link) listen to the jukebox play. Allow yourself to take the journey and appraise the music and tell me what you think. More so, tell others. Thank you for your time.

World Wide Waddie Comment by World Wide Waddie on April 20, 2010 at 2:01pm

World Wide Waddie had the opportunity to chat things up with soul singer ChinahBlac fresh from her performance at the S.O.B. lounge in New York City. Her interview got to be so good that we had to cut it into two parts.

In part one of this interview, ChinahBlac talks about the success of her breakaway underground hit single "Get Away" as well as her new album "Introducing Eugenia Shata." She also shares her experience working with R&B greats Erykah Badu, Raheem DeVaughn and Jill Scott. Did you know that she also toured with the Dave Matthews Band?

She also introduces her life mate, Newark emcee Kareem, who she is currently collaborating on some new music. If you had the chance to witness their chemistry during the interview like I did, you can safely predict that great music will be the outcome of their union.

Being such a musically diverse artist, "Introducing Eugenia Shata" is a bluesy soul classic. Check it out on iTunes.
