- A Spoken Word Artist, Writer, and Vocalist, Amanyia began writing Lyrically in 1987 for the group DC 10, making her transition to Spoken Word/Poetry in the fall of 2007. She writes all of her words and creates 95% of her music, and focuses her Pen, on love, life, and reality.
Having her own style and flow, Amanyia is finding her way into different genres such as Spoken Word, Jazz, Experimental, Freestyle, Pop, Rock, and even Hip Hop.
Her inspirations are from LIFE, FAMILY, FRIENDS, many diversified lyrical poets, and musical blends.
Having a rich, sultry voice, she uses classy and captivating words, the creativity shows through her SPOKEN WORDS. Her style and flow, can arouse the imagination, as she speak words of motivation.

This writing was inspired by the death of Michael Jackson on June 25, 2009, and the compilation of many of his songs. He was a great performer, producer, writer, and singer, who I believe was a warm, compassionate, and caring individual. It was his final performance on earth, and he made a grand exit.

MY LYRICAL DREAM

I may not become rich or famous,
or known around the world,
I can say I've made an effort,
to let myself be heard.
I may not use fancy equipment,
I work with what i got,
however...
it's writing something to create mood,
whether someone likes it or not!
I recite a few lines, over time,
