Check Out The Critics and Writers Group on Soul Commune!

Music critics and writers have a beautiful struggle. We recognize our various roles as movement promoters, critical recognition and--of those most influential among us--tastemakers. We also are journalists, creative writers and perhaps the most challenging of music fans. Though we might have side hustles as biographers or liner note writers, when writing criticism, we are typically not strictly some PR machine for artists. We are critics and craftsman. We still have to contend with the agony and… Continue

The 4th Annual Intermational Soul Music Summit 2009 The largest music conference in the world dedicated to the indepentant soul gerne. Major Networking Oppertunities with mainstream, emerging and independent soul artist, retailers, tastemakers, consumers and executives.

This is a professional conference about businessthe music business. We want attendees to walk away feeling that the mood/vibe was good, the connections were right and there was always soul music going on. Its about mixing, mingling, connecting and networking so they get hooked up and come away with valuable money making connections they did not have before they came. Now is the time to highlight (increase awareness) and recognize (support) this genre of music as it creates an urban vibe that is a life style that expands across the globe and is poised to positively impact the world!

I think we've emailed each other before...I dig most of your reviews, some things I don't agree with, but hey, nothing's 100 %, right? But generally I can see where you're coming from. You have a good Historical knowledge of Soul/R&B, whereas a lot of music writers are weak in that regard & therefore only "gloss the Surface"...Looking forward to reading your next Soultracks reviews!
