I have learned that most people have experienced homelessness and the anguish associated with it at some point in their lives. Some people seem to think that it's so common that advocacy against it not warranted. I for one believe the contrary. No one should be without a home or place to rest their head, and I thank God for the shelter that was available to me during my time of need. Come here child and rub some alcohol on grandma’s knees, she called. I ran to her bedside where her concoctions were kept. Arthur (arthritis) was really acting up and it was time to go to work. There was something special about completing this task of rubbing the green stuff on grandma’s knees, legs and sometimes feet. Stories were told about her life as a child.
